We have a signature selection of fabulous hand-crafted cocktails together with all the classics. Our wine and champagne list has been carefully and lovingly selected and is unique to St. John’s. We also offer boutique gin, prestigious whisky and a selection of local, craft and premium beers.
Our menu is delivered with passion, featuring produce sourced within walking distance of the restaurant. On it you’ll find a delightful mix of classic and contemporary dishes for you to try.
For starters, we highly recommend the scallops, pork belly, black pudding and potato croquette. The scallops are perfectly cooked and the pork belly adds a wonderful depth of flavour to the dish.
For the main course, the classic St Johns steak pie is a must-try. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, we also have snacks available at the bar including a cheese sharing board.
For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the chocolate torte, blood orange sorbet, caramelised orange and toasted hazelnuts. Pure perfection on a plate, this dessert looks and tastes incredible.
The Edinburgh Gin Ladies Day at Perth Racecourse!
Everyone has Ladies Day on their mind, and we don’t blame them! It’s one of the most highly anticipated days on the racing calendar every year. On Thursday 18 May 2023, there will be thousands of racegoers at Perth Racecourse, all dressed in their finest attire looking to scoop a fabulous prize for their efforts.
We are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring the prize for the Best Headwear Competition in collaboration with the award-winning Charlie Taylor Hair & Beauty.

This Thursday there will be lots of great entertainment on the go, starting from 11:30am. From live music to rolling entertainment on the main stage and of course the fashion competitions… this is a Ladies Day like no other!
Be sure to have your best headwear piece on show as you could win a meal for two and a bottle of wine at St John’s Bar & Restaurant, along with a hair makeover at Charlie Taylor Perth or Dundee salon, including a cut and colour with a stylist.
Some of the other fashion competitions taking place on the day will include The Tiger Lily Grand Lady prize worth £2K, Best Suit and Best Group. All fashion competitions will be kicking off from 12pm on Thursday so make sure you’re on time if you’d like to be in line for a chance to win. Good luck!
Our Trading Hours
We are open Wednesday to Saturday from 4pm until 11pm & on Sundays from 12pm until 8pm. Walk-ins are welcome at all times and our bar area is exclusively available for walk-ins, however booking in advance is recommended in order to secure your preferred date and time.
